OSTEOPATH / SHOCKWAVE THERAPY / DRY NEEDLING/ SPORTS MASSAGE

Howard Gilbert, osteopath and clinic owner at Joint Mechanics Ashtead

Howard Gilbert, founder of Joint Mechanics, is an experienced osteopath with a Bachelor of Osteopathy (BOst) from the British School of Osteopathy. His passion for sports and first-hand experience with triathlon-related injuries led him to study osteopathy and take a holistic approach to treatment.

Before retraining, Howard spent time in Japan and worked as a city broker. He later qualified in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy in 2004, working in Spain and Norway treating athletes and skiers. That same year, he served as an interpreter for the Japanese Olympic teams.

Howard is also trained in shockwave therapy, ultrasound, dry needling and first aid. He has worked as an osteopath for the Civil Service Rugby Club and treated professionals at The Royal Courts of Justice, The Royal Automobile Club, Nokia HQ, and the West End.

An avid skier, cyclist and motorcyclist, he has travelled to many countries, shadowing osteopaths worldwide. In his spare time he likes to swim, ride his motorbike and organise motorcycle trips in Japan.
